Jethro Tull




Jethro Tull was initially formed as a blues band in 1968. The band took their name from the 19th Century agriculturalist Jethro Tull, who in 1731 published ideas that revolutionized the future of agriculture.

Ian Anderson - Flute, vocals and harmonica.
Mick Abrahams - Guitars and vocals.
Glenn Cornick - Bass.
Clive Bunker - Drums.

The band has been through many personnel changes since 1968. Mick Abrahams left the band in 1968 to form Blodwyn Pig and was briefly replaced by Tony Iommi (later of Black Sabbath). For the 1969 album Stand Up Iommi was replaced by Martin Barre.
